<\/span>As often happens after a tragic mass shooting, the NRA is facing harsh criticism for its political spending and lobbying.<\/p>\n

Interestingly enough, though, Planned Parenthood, the top abortion business in the nation, spent about 10 times more buying political influence in the 2016 election than the NRA.<\/p>\n

The Federalist\u2019s Sean Davis pointed out<\/a> the difference in reaction to a Washington Post article about the NRA in the wake of the horrific Los Vegas shooting last week.<\/p>\n

According to the report, the NRA has donated $3,555,194 to current members of Congress. In contrast, Planned Parenthood spent $38 million on the 2016 elections<\/a> alone. Almost all of the abortion chain\u2019s money went to pro-abortion Democrats, despite Planned Parenthood\u2019s claims of being \u201cnon-partisan.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2019Just follow the money\u2019 is the simple refrain of those who resign themselves to a lazy kind of materialism,\u201d National Review\u2019s Joe Simonson responded<\/a>. \u201cAnd in reality, the NRA\u2019s financial contributions are minuscule. As Davis notes, liberal groups such as Planned Parenthood exert more direct financial influence over Congress \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

The abortion chain has become increasingly political in the past few years as it fights to continue receiving about half a billion tax dollars every year and to keep abortion legal up until birth.<\/p>\n

Planned Parenthood is the No. 1 abortion business in America. It brings in millions of dollars aborting more than 300,000 unborn babies every year, on average.<\/p>\n

Its massive political spending continued this year, with $734,760 spent<\/a> on a pro-abortion congressional candidate in Georgia and at least $3 million more<\/a> on the Virginia gubernatorial race. In August, the abortion chain also announced plans to spend half a million dollars<\/a> to create an army of pro-abortion activists across the country to help them with political lobbying.<\/p>\n

Michael Moates wrote at The Narrative Times<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Those of us in the pro-life movement are often told that Roe v. Wade is \u201csettled law\u201d \u2013 despite not actually being a law \u2014 and we should just fold up our tents and go home. Yet today, there are\u00a0calls<\/a>\u00a0for the Second Amendment \u2013 adopted in 1791 and certainly settled from a historical perspective \u00a0\u2013 to be repealed.<\/p>\n

Has the NRA\u2019s $4.2 million bought some influence over the last 19 years? Certainly. But it pales in comparison to the influence Planned Parenthood\u2019s blood money has purchased.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Planned Parenthood wields a strong influence over members of Congress with its political spending. In 2015, LifeNews reported<\/a> the abortion chain donated at least $43,362 to Democrats appointed to a U.S. House committee to investigate whether it sold aborted babies\u2019 body parts for profit.<\/p>\n

The abortion chain also contributed to the political campaigns<\/a> of the California prosecutors<\/a> who filed charges against undercover investigator David Daleiden for exposing Planned Parenthood\u2019s baby body parts trade.<\/p>\n
